PUBLIC FUNDING PROPOSAL SPECIALIST

  • Drive Public Funding Success
  • Global Conservation Agency
  • Remote WFH Role - Excellent Opportunity!!!

Are you a detail-driven proposal writer who excels at identifying public funding opportunities and crafting high-impact grant applications?

My client, The Nature Conservancy is seeking an experienced and detail-driven proposal specialist for a critical 5 month contract. You will work within a small, expanding, and mission-driven team to pinpoint high-value public funding opportunities and craft winning grant applications to advance conservation goals across the Asia Pacific region.

If you are driven by making a tangible impact on nature and climate, and have a proven track record in securing complex institutional and government funding, then this is the role for you.

Reporting directly to the Public Funding Lead and Regional Leadership, you will be responsible for the following core outcomes:

  • Opportunity Pinpointing & Pipeline Support: Lead the early identification, screening, and tracking of Calls for Proposals (CFPs) across the region. Dissect dense, long-form donor guidelines to extract key funding opportunities and compliance rules.
  • Proposal Development & Grant Writing: Lead the writing, drafting, editing, and packaging of compelling public funding proposals, concept notes, and expressions of interest.
  • Document Ownership & Master Editing: Serve as the owner of final application packages, ensuring strong narrative flow, high visual and structural quality, and full donor compliance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with regional relationship managers, project design specialists, and country teams to integrate inputs into cohesive submissions.
  • Systems & Operational Support: Maintain regional public funding pipeline tracking systems, prepare status briefings, and promote consistent quality standards and proposal templates.

Ideally you will be a detail-oriented professional ready to make an immediate impact and possess:

  • Proven experience writing, editing, and winning public or institutional funding proposals and donor-funded projects.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with an ability to navigate complex donor documentation line-by-line.
  • Excellent English writing, proofreading, and narrative-building skills, with an ability to synthesise technical project designs.
  • High adaptability and flexibility to work under tight RFP deadlines and across international time zones with global team members.
  • Familiarity with public funding mechanisms, funder processes, or conservation and climate issues across the Asia Pacific region.
